The last 3 years of their marriage was spent with my father literally carrying her from room to room, to the car and back. He got a cot and slept with her in our porch when the cancer had progressed. There was no sex. Same thing happened with my sister. And both had radical mastectomies, further compromising their sexuality and confidence. This stuff happens. It’s not an if. It’s a when. She’s going to be too tired, or too busy, or too stressed, or sick.
